An apprentice trained mechanical engineer with a HND in manufacturing engineering he is Manager of the EPSRC National Facility for Innovative Robotic Systems . He has a vast experience in both modern machining techniques and 3D CAD/CAM processes. He comes from a medical engineering background and worked for several years as a new product development engineer for a market leading orthopaedics company. He has been with the university since 2007 and previously managed the Faculty of Engineering’s mechanical workshop along with various other manufacturing roles.
