Short bio: Dr Mehmet Dogar is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing at Leeds, having joined in 2015. His research and that of his research group focuses on robotic object manipulation using physics-based predictive models. He is a co-chair of the IEEE-RAS Technical Committee on Mobile Manipulation, an Associate Editor for the IEEE Robotics and Automation - Letters (RA-L), and an Area Chair for Robotics: Science and Systems (RSS). In addition, he is an EPSRC Fellow (2021-2026) and a Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute (2021-2022). He received his PhD from the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University (2008-2013) before undertaking a postdoctoral research role at CSAIL, MIT (2013-2015).
