Short bio: Samit Chakrabarty, in the school of biomedical sciences, did my UG degree at St Xavier's Mumbai, Zoology and Biochemistry, followed by a PhD in spinal neurophysiology from Cambridge UK. Then been studying the role of spinal circuits in control of motor function like reaching or walking, its modulation by sensory input, and that from the brain. Since have been working to implement this knowledge to develop adaptive assistive systems that are suitably adapted to the user and their environment.
