Abstract: Discussion about the various challenges when designing prosthetic hands, and how the application of technology can improve user outcomes.

Short Bio: Ted Varley founded COVVI in 2017, with a goal of designing and manufacturing the world’s best prosthetic hands. Before COVVI,  Ted was the Technical Director at Steeper Group Ltd. and led the development of the award-winning bebionic hand. In addition.  Over the course of his professional life, Ted has had a varied career, from Siberian drive surveys for Nissan, developing body and trim component for the MGSV, or doing the electro-mechanical design for the steering column for the Mclaren MP4-12C.
